Construction Progress Update: The Tower at PNC Plaza
Construction is fully underway in downtown Pittsburgh for The Tower at PNC Plaza. Excavation is complete and grade beam and caisson cap excavation is in progress. The tower crane was erected in the second week of December. The forming and pouring of the grade beams and caisson caps will be complete by the end of January. The forming and pouring of concrete walls in the core area is also in progress. Construction of the concrete foundation walls and parking decks will continue throughout winter and into spring in preparation for steel erection that is scheduled for June 2013.
