PJ Dick Awarded Contract For New $71 Million Pennsylvania State Employees’ Credit Union Headquarters

Pittsburgh (PA)—PJ Dick is proud to announce that it has been named the General Contractor for the new Pennsylvania State Employees’ Credit Union (PSECU) headquarters.  Budgeted at approximately $71 million, the PSECU building not only represents PJ Dick’s first Harrisburg-based contract, but also one of the largest construction projects currently in progress in the Central Pennsylvania region.   Upon completion in Fall 2013, PSECU’s base of operations for its 750-strong workforce will shift from its current location at 1 Credit Union Place to the new headquarters at 1500 Elmerton Road.

“While another member of our family of companies, Trumbull Corporation, has enjoyed a long legacy and strong reputation in Harrisburg for its bridge and highway construction work, PJ Dick had not. Until now!” noted Clifford R. Rowe, Jr., CEO, PJ Dick.  “We are extremely pleased to work with the Pennsylvania State Employees’ Credit Union on this signature project for both of our companies.”

Project specs for the new PSECU headquarters include:

  • Seeking LEED Gold certification through the United States Green Building Council (USGBC)
  • A 235,000 square foot, three-story building located on a 47-acre campus
  • Three road access points to the building supported by new traffic signals, Elmerton Road turning lanes and shoulder reconstruction
  • Architectural highlights such as an exterior glass curtain and terra cotta panels, an exercise trail around the facility perimeter, a first floor entrance with water features and glass handrail stairs, a day care center with playground area and a full kitchen facility
  • State-of-the-art security, data/communications and audiovisual systems
